In the years when Nişsan Tarım established its first facility, Sakarya was producing 25% of all the corn in Turkey. However, the region’s climate causes the corn to be too moist. Therefore back in those days, it wasn’t possible to use the corn efficiently and hygienically in the related sectors. In order to solve this problem, Nişsan Tarım ignited the burner of its first facility at the headquarters of Dağdibi. The facility has a drying capacity of 750 tonnes/day and a storage capacity of 4.000 tonnes. In the following years, as the demand of the region increased, Nişsan Tarım established a second facility at Ferizli Organized Industrial Site, where it functions with a drying capacity of 1.300 tonnes/day and a storage capacity of 10.000 tonnes. With the Ferizli branch, Nişsan Tarım has one of the largest drying capacity in Turkey today. Apart from corn, Nişsan Tarım is also involved in the trade of hazelnut, wheat, barley and sunflower.
As one of the leading corn drying/storing facilities of Sakarya/Turkey, Nişsan Tarım is also the distributor of the best fertilizers and seeds (corn, wheat, barley). Nişsan Tarım’s sister company Kimak A.Ş. successfully built numerous starch and glucose factories both in Turkey and abroad.
